The 12V300AH LiFePO4 Battery in ABS format 8D from Volthium is specially manufactured for the clientele of boats, sailboats, motorized vehicles, and industrial applications.

The battery is designed for energy storage banks ranging from 3kWh to 20 kWh.

These batteries have the particularity of having a dedicated and accessible chamber for the BMS. This makes them repairable if needed, and helps extend the lifespan of the cells by limiting heat transfer to them. Furthermore, a private chamber allows for increasing the usable temperature range of these batteries.

This new generation of batteries is also equipped with a stainless steel button, which allows you to disable the discharge while keeping the recharge activated. Extremely convenient when you want to leave the batteries connected to the solar system during storage, while eliminating the fear that they have been drained by parasitic discharges.

This brand new battery, whose casing is exclusive to Volthium, features 2x RJ45 ports, with gold-plated pins, allowing communication over the RS485 protocol. This connection is also used to transmit the internal information of the batteries to the Victron environment (over their VE.CAN protocol). For this, obtain the Volthium HUB accessory, another exclusivity resulting from our internal and exclusive development.

Furthermore, the RJ45 connector allows you to add the Volthium Bluetooth transmitter, which can manage up to 4 batteries when paired with the HUB.

Not only does this LiFePO4 accumulator resist vibrations, but it has a discharge range superior to the competition. Indeed, this battery can be discharged down to -25 degrees, instead of -20 degrees for the competition. And thanks to its self-heating feature, it can be recharged down to -40 degrees. This innovation is possible due to the fact that the cells in Volthium batteries come from the automotive industry.

Exclusive Double Self-Heating Technology

Know that the battery is equipped with two internal heating systems. The traditional intelligent system activates when you apply a charge to the battery while its temperature is below zero degrees Celsius. The second system, called manual, triggers when you apply a voltage to the positive connector H+ (M6) of the battery. This manual heating system is not automated at all. If you connect the positive terminal of the battery (M8) to the H+ (M6) connector of the battery with a small piece of wire, it will activate using the battery's energy.
* Attention, it is necessary to use a timer to avoid forgetting the heating on.
* The manual heating system is reserved for professionals and operates down to -25 only.

The heart ("core") of the BMS is produced by the American company Texas Instruments. This manufacturer of BMS microcontrollers is globally recognized in the field of electric vehicles, in addition to being known for its long-standing collaboration with NASA and the U.S. military. The programming and communication protocols are entirely developed by our engineers in Quebec.

Cells:

The quality of LFP cells is paramount. Indeed, it is what ensures you have a durable product with long-term performance that will be reliable.

The 24V solar storage batteries are equipped with GRADE A+ prismatic cells, manufactured by Volkswagen Group.
